Getting ready for work and keenly aware that this is truly the first day in 2 weeks I have no cold symptoms. Day 15 since they started. Ugh! Also... I still sit with a rental car and hear gurgling in my toilet. I hope they do schedule a clean out like they're supposed to.

YESTERDAY, I snuggled a baby for over 5 hours while he slept. Kalob Jr is such a good baby! I went to visit the kids at 10am thinking I was only going to be able to stay a couple hours. Ended up being able to stay, and hold KJ, until 4:30. I held him the entire time, except time for 2 feedings from Kalob Sr, diaper changes, and 1 sitting with Rowan. 🥰❤️🥰❤️ Such a special day!
We finally were able to exchange Christmas presents and MiMi did good with Rowan. Perfection, she is the perfect age for the game that surprises. A racetrack that did loops. Laser tag guns... T-ball set.
I was given a couple travel items with MiMi on them, a mug and a bag. They're perfect!! I love them.
Gabby is sore but recovering well. Kalob is home for 2 weeks, 1 paternity leave, 1 vacation.
Took it easy at home for a few hours, working a jigsaw puzzle and watching Virgin River on Netflix. Then out for a couple of hours.
I met a fellow Mountaineer last night, JJ. He is a software engineer, 45 with 3 kids under 10 and an estranged wife. From Hurricane, WV. We had an interesting talk about WVU and Chemical Valley, what he called Nitro, WV. I told him about my book and he said absolutely he believes my health challenges may have been caused by being from the area. He remembers the smell of the chemicals as well. He called WVU a cesspool as well, when I asked if he saw others having breakdowns like mine. We're going to get together again.
I posted about how 2024 is going to be a great year and about my book.
I set the deadline for my next draft to be complete by January 31st and wait for feedback from Casey. No worries sweetie, no rush! I already have a bunch of ideas for how to improve it's current state.
I'm really excited after reading the parts about who I selected to stay on my team after my last crisis to Kalob. He liked it! I read to him about him, Rowan, Gabby and Casey. And he listened intently. It means so much that he's supporting me in this way! Gabby too! Though she had to take care of business in another room while I did most of my reading. It wasn't planned.
Need to get ready for our sales meeting this morning. Plan to be early since I missed it altogether last week!
